Actress talks of her life in ‘Gathering’

Here’s another report in a series by ifilm, on the popular talk show ‘The Gathering’, aired by the channel; this time the program hosts Niyousha Zeyghami, whom you might recall from ‘In the Eye of the Storm’, a popular series aired on ifilm.

Asked about whether she has ever regretted playing in a movie, she noted there’s no remorse. She continues here.

I’ve gained experience in all movies I’ve appeared in so far, and planned to do more of box-office hits, rather than artistic flicks.

I’ve learned when someone is more beautiful or wealthy, people would be more sensitive about them; I think that’s part of the culture, while people’s beauty is innate, and if they achieve anything, it’s a matter of their choice.

About lifestyle, I’ve got to say ours isn’t an extraordinary one, though my family enjoys welfare. Money can buy welfare, but not happiness, in my opinion.

About my marriage, let me say I’ve tried to refrain from tabloid issues, but they’re always there, anyway. For example, there was talk of my divorce recently. Actually, I and my husband were acquainted in a cinematic project, and got married 9 months later.

Rumors about my husband are a lot, though they’re mostly false. Every person has their own criteria for making choices, but mine remains unchanged; that money doesn’t bring about happiness.

She also talked about the aftermath of the last winter’s earthquake in Iran’s west, as well as being a star on the big screen.

Born in 1980, Zeyghami has appeared in several movies, including ‘The Juggler’ (2004), ‘The Confrontation’ (2004), ‘My Sin’ (2006), ‘Hidden Feeling’ (2006), ‘Parkway’ (2006), ‘The Outcasts’ (2006), ‘Forced Blessing’ (2007), ‘The Outcasts 2’ (2008), ‘Extreme Cold’ (2009), ‘Mirror and Candlestick’ (2012) and ‘Iran Burger’ (2014).

In near future, there will be more on the popular, star-centered talk show, ‘Gathering’, and what the guests, including celebrities, artists, actors, cineastes and athletes have told the nation, about the backstage and their private lives.
